YOUR OWN ROCK COLLECTION
You can make a simple collection made of 10-12 rocks. Where can you find the rocks? Don't buy them and don't borrow them, please. You can easily pick up several types of stones walking around your village. Then you can complete the collection looking for pieces of decorative rocks like those the masons use to cover floors and  walls.

  
 Put the rocks into a box and label them properly. Write a card for each rock including:
  1. Rock name.
  2. Type of rock (plutonic, volcanic, sedimentary, metamorphic).
  3. The place where you found the rock.
  4. Description of the rock (colour, hard or soft, bright or dull, components, other characteristics...)
